Dear All,

As you will be aware, the Government have set out guidelines for their Plan B Covid-19 RESPONSE.

Although Sale FC’s stadium doesn’t meet the criteria for enforcing the increased requirements laid out by the Government’s new guidance, as an Executive we would like people to be aware of the additional measures we will have in place on Saturday. We will not reach the capacity of outdoor events (5,000) and it’s unlikely we would reach the capacity for indoor events (500) where attendees are likely to stand and mix. However, we would like to implement these measures to make all our supporters young and old feel as safe as possible.

The Executive feels that due to the layout of our stadium that we should put some small additional measures in place, and we would like your help as supporters to follow them without needing to be prompted by volunteers.

Ground Entrance

We would like you to bring your valid NHS COVID Pass, or proof of a negative test result from within 48hrs leading up to the game. Proof can be shown by an email or text with the result. You may be asked by a volunteer on the gate to show proof on the way into the stadium. We also encourage mask wearing when using the indoor areas of the clubhouse when not eating or drinking. There is no parking at the ground this weekend and both gates will be open for pedestrian access.

In addition, we have the following guidance once inside the stadium

Downstairs Smithy’s Bar

We would kindly ask (especially as it looks like a nice day on Saturday), that once you have your drinks you move outside to watch the game utilising both doors. To increase the ventilation, we will also have windows and doors open in the bar area and the ventilation system on.

The Suite @Sale FC Upstairs

This is restricted access for pre-match hospitality only. Those attending pre-match will be given wrist bands to wear. Please do not try and access upstairs pre-game or during the game if you are not booked in for pre-match hospitality. The sliding doors will be open in the upstairs bar area and the ventilation will be on.

We hope that by taking some simple steps we can all enjoy what will be a fantastic day of rugby together in a safe environment.

Regards

Sale FC Executive
