Development
Rugby is a great sport that facilitates players of all ages, shapes and sizes to truly learn the benefits of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship. At Under 13 they play six in a contested scrum, they run, pass, tackle, kick, ruck, maul and hand off but do not have lineouts. There is a lot to learn and do.
The coaching team of five is committed to developing each player to achieve their personal best, we have three fully qualified level 1 coaches, a qualified referee and all coaches have completed the DBS registration.
Social
It’s not all about rugby though: We have been on tours to the Lakes, Scarborough,North Wales and Morecombe. We hold a players social dinner each year, and often head to the club days at Heywood Road to watch the Sale FC first team. A highlight of the year is the end of year awards and family fun day at Heywood Road.

Here is a write up from our recent social event
Our team enjoyed a social evening at Vao, Sale Waterside.
In between courses the coaches spoke to each player individually to give them a personal rugby objective for the rest of the season. They have been given a small laminated card to stick inside th
eir gum shield box.
They of course had some typical rugby fun with the Jalepeno Challenge, right thumb down, left hand drinking, and the grand finale After Eight Challenge all overseen by a Judge. The lads were well behaved, and we hope the evening has helped them bind together as a squad.
