Bringing Sport to Our Community
The Sale FC Foundation is the charitable heart of our club, dedicated to making sport accessible for all within Trafford and Greater Manchester. We believe in the power of rugby and other sports to improve lives, promote healthy recreation, and advance the education and development of children and young people.
Our Mission
Our core mission is to remove barriers and build futures. We are committed to:
- Promoting Community Participation: We actively encourage healthy recreation by providing outstanding facilities and organising sporting activities for everyone.
- Providing for Those in Need: We ensure no one is left on the sidelines. We provide facilities and assistance for those who need it most, whether due to youth, age, disability, or financial hardship.
- Developing Young People: We use the power of sport to advance the education and development of children and young people in our community.
Our Vision: Key Targets for 2026
To bring our mission to life, we have set three ambitious targets to achieve by 2026. These goals will expand our reach and deepen our impact across the region.
1. Recruit a Coach for Primary Schools
We will recruit and employ a dedicated coach to go into local primary schools. This role will be focused on promoting rugby and healthy activity, with a special emphasis on growing the girls' game and inspiring the next generation of players.
2. Increase Youth Sport Participation
Our goal is to actively increase the total number of children playing sport throughout Trafford and Greater Manchester. We will achieve this by creating new, accessible opportunities for kids to get active, discover new sports, and find a passion for teamwork and fitness.
3. Remove Financial Barriers
Sport should be for everyone, not just for those who can afford it. We will actively identify and support children and families who are struggling to engage in sport due to financial issues, ensuring that cost is never a reason to miss out on the benefits of being part of a team.
