Birmingham Moseley v Sale FC

After last weeks disappointment and with some players needing to cement their places, this weekends game is going to be a real test for Sale FC Rugby. This line up demonstrates how Sale FC Rugby have gone from being “one-brick deep” in the last two seasons to having real strength in depth. We also have a number of firsts this weekend. Elliot Hodgson a summer signing from Huddersfield joins us for the first time in National One, he gets his start on the wing with the absence of Paolo Odogwu. Mark Lawrence replaces Johnny Leota in the starting lineup and on the bench we see the return of Joe Kelly, Tom Ailes and Kieran Dunne.

Move over Reynolds and Gosling, we’ve got our own Ryan!

Returning to Sale FC Rugby after a 11 Year absence is Ryan Parkinson.

Ryan has been out for a while due to injury, but has played himself onto the bench with strong showings in the 2nd XV. He’s already got 73 caps for Macclesfield in National One rugby but, more importantly Ryan last played for Sale FC Rugby almost 12 years ago! Welcome back!

Twelve of the starting lineup are from last season’s National 2 North winning team, with fourteen of the match day twenty being from that same squad.

Although Birmingham Moseley haven’t had a brilliant start to the campaign, they’ve only just lost their last two matches picking up bonus points in each of them.

Dan Birchall and Neil Briggs are unavailable for this match
