Sharks quartet feature in U20’s finale

Four Sale Sharks Academy players all feature in the U20’s Six Nations Campaign finale.

England U20’s team to face Scotland at Franklins Gardens on Friday 15th March.

Head Coach Steve Bates has rung the changes for England’s final U20’s Six Nations match at Franklin’s Gardens this Friday night.

In total there are eight changes to the starting line up, with a large number of the players selected making their first appearance of the tournament, one such player is Sharks Gus Warr who is also on loan to Fylde Rugby this season, who is on the replacements bench.

There are also starts for Sharks Academy players Cameron Redpath and Arron Reed (both have featured for Sale FC Rugby this season), who make returns after playing senior roles for the Sharks against Leicester Tigers last weekend.

The other Shark to feature in the match day 23 is Fly Half Kieran Wilkinson (another member of the Sale FC Rugby squad this season) who is amongst the replacements as back up to Bishop’s Stortford’s Manu Vunipola (yes he is related to the Saracens duo!).

Here is the full line up for the U20’s team to face Scotland on Friday Evening on Sky Sports (7.45pm Kick Off):

15. Tom de Glanville (Bath Rugby), 14. Ollie Hassell-Collins (London Irish), 13. Ollie Lawrence (Worcester Warriors), 12. Cameron Redpath (Sale Sharks), 11. Arron Reed (Sale Sharks), 10. This Friday evening, England U20’s are in action again once more when they face their Italian counterparts in the penultimate fixture of the U20’s Six Nations.

Ahead of the fixture Head Coach Steve Bates, named a side with three changes in it as they look to turn around their fortunes after they lost with the last play of the game against Wales two weeks ago at ZipWorld Stadiwm in Colwyn Bay.

The changes to the side sees James Scott replace Alex Coles in the Second Row, Exeter Chiefs and Plymouth Albion’s Rusiate Tuima starting at No.8, with Tom Willis moving to the blindside of the scrum.

The other change sees the injured Connor Doherty replaced by Tom Seabrook at Outside Centre. Importantly for the Sharks duo of Nic Dolly and Kieran Wilkinson, they are both retained in their starting positions of Hooker and Fly Half respectively.

During their U20’s Six Nations campaign, England have beaten World Champions France at Sandy Park in Round 2. However, they lost to the Irish in Round 1 by eight points, and the Welsh in Round 3 by one point.

James Scott (Worcester Warriors), 6. Tom Willis (Wasps), 7. Aaron Hinkley (Gloucester Rugby), 8. Rusiate Tuima (Exeter Chiefs).

Replacements: 16. Samson Ma’asi (Northampton Saints), 17. Kai Owen (Worcester Warriors), 18. Jack Bartlett (Gloucester Rugby), 19. Alex Coles (Northampton Saints), 20. Richard Capstick (Exeter Chiefs), 21. Sam Maunder (Exeter Chiefs), 22. Manu Vunipola (Saracens), 23. Jack Reeves (Gloucester Rugby).

The game from Goldington Road home of the Bedford Blues, is being shown live on Sky Sports from 7.45pm.

The game is completely sold out which is testament to the way the team has played over the course of their Six Nations campaign.
