England Deaf Rugby are coming

On Saturday 13th April, Sale FC Rugby will be hosting an England Deaf Double Header.

Sale FC Rugby in association with England Deaf Rugby are pleased to announce that on Saturday 13th April the club will be hosting an England Deaf Rugby Double Header here at the CorpAcq Stadium.

On the day, there will be two fantastic games of rugby starting off with England Deaf Women playing Sale 1861 Women with a 1pm kick off. After this game, England Deaf Men face their Welsh counterparts at 4pm in a repeat of their Broadstreet Cup clash in January, that saw the Welsh run out winners on that occasion.

Speaking ahead of these two prestigious fixtures in April, General Manager of Sale FC Rugby Dave Hulme said “It’s a real honour to be chosen to host these two fixtures for England Deaf Rugby, as it provides an opportunity for the rugby watching public of Sale, Trafford, Manchester and the North West to see International Rugby here at the CorpAcq Stadium, Heywood Road”.

Tickets for the game are priced as follows: Adults £10, Concessions £5 and Children U16 FREE! Furthermore, if you would like to come and enjoy hospitality here at the club on the day, there are limited places available in our upstairs Suite@Sale. These hospitality places can be booked via the following link, but are limited in number. These places are priced at £10 per person and include food and a wristband for access upstairs to the suite, where you can enjoy the views of the ground from our pitch side balcony.

Trio make England U20’s starting line up

Sale Sharks trio make the England u20’s team to play Wales at Colwyn Bay.

This Friday night at the Zip World Stadium in Colwyn Bay, Wales U20’s play host to their English Counterparts in the third match of the 2019 U20’s Six Nations Tournament.

After an emphatic victory over France at Sandy Park, Exeter a couple of weeks ago. England look to maintain their winning ways against Wales, with another similar performance that saw them over come France in what was a bruising encounter.

In all, England Head Coach Steve Bates has made seven changes to the starting line up, that includes the Sharks duo of Connor Doherty and Kieran Wilkinson, who come in at Outside Centre and Fly Half respectively.

Both players join Hooker Nic Dolly who has had a magnificent couple of games against Ireland and France so far, with the Sharks Academy man enjoying his time in a front row trio that took the French apart down in Exeter.

Wanted: Social Rugby Players

Social Rugby on Monday Nights is the place to be for combined social and rugby exercise.

Come and join Tricky on Motivated Mondays for Social Rugby here at the CorpAcq Stadium.

Every Monday Night here at the CorpAcq Stadium we have great ways of staying fit, in a fun and interactive way from 6.30pm.

Each week down here at the club, there are both men and women taking part in social rugby which is designed to raise your heart rate, as well as providing sufficient exercise in the fresh air, instead of visiting an indoor gym.

The sessions which are becoming more popular each week, are run by junior coaches Paul Gibbon and Andy Raw, who themselves alongside with their children, have found the sessions to be useful for maintaining his fitness and increasing his overall energy levels at the same time.

Social Rugby is open to people of all ages and importantly it is completely FREE to join in, furthermore you don’t have to be a member of the club to come along and play.

On Monday Evenings we also have our Walking Rugby sessions too, that run from 6.30pm and like Social Rugby are open to both men and women non-players, former players or even older players who prefer the more gentle approach to the game.

Walking Rugby makes big stride forwards

Sale FC’s Walking Rugby makes steps in the right direction.

As part of Sale FC Rugby’s continued drive within its Community programme, Walking Rugby has made great strides forwards since its introduction earlier this season.

Walking Rugby was set up with the help of Sale Sharks Community Trust initially, before they handed the reigns over to Junior Coach Matt Hulme to continue on the sessions.

During each session participants who are both male and female, and of all ages come along to enjoy a different type of exercise, within the context of the game of rugby, that is run in a sociable and friendly atmosphere here on a Monday Evening from 6.30pm.

Importantly, it doesn’t matter whether you have played the game before, as the club welcomes all comers to the sessions. To read more about these sessions please follow the link here

The three National League One games included in this offer for Non Members are:

After a pitch inspection the game versus Darlington Mowden Park has been called off.

However, the club will be still open for both of tomorrow’s Guinness 6 Nations fixtures from 1pm. With Scotland v Italy (2.15pm) and Ireland v England (4.45pm)
