Women’s Cheshire and Lancashire Selection

The Women have had a bumper crop of selections for both Lancashire and Cheshire this season with a total of 8 players selected!

Lancashire are away to Leicestershire on Sunday and Cheshire have a week off.

Lancashire: Aimee Wallace, Zena Francis, Hannah Birch, Freya Wildgoose and Sarah Cornforth.

Cheshire squad: Alex Graham, Gabi Ashby and Eleanor Bradbury.

County Selection

This weekend Sale FC Rugby have a big say in the Cheshire and Lancashire match day teams. Selected for Cheshire we have President’s Award winner, Jack Moorhouse, Players Player of the year Stone Priestly-Nagle and Coaches player of the year Neil Briggs all in the starting line up to face Eastern Counties at Heywood Road tomorrow at 3pm. For the Lancashire team to face Durham we have Dan Birchall, Simon Griffiths, Andy Hughes starting and Rhys Davies on the bench. We wish them all the best. If you want to come down and watch the Cheshire vs Eastern Counties game on Saturday there is rugby there from 1pm with Cheshire Harvesters KO at 1pm followed by the Bill Beaumont Cup game at 3pm. We also have Sale 1861 players Katie Walsh, Charlotte Smith and Megan Kirby playing for Lancashire women v Durham and not to be outdone, we have five women in the Cheshire team to face Warwickshire, Catherine Ansell, Katie Ashcroft, Helen Johnson,Hailey Coutts and Sarah Methven. Congratulations one and all!
