Mini & Junior Section (Ages 2 – Under 18s)
Our Mini & Junior section is at the heart of Sale FC. We cater to the youngest players, starting from as young as 2 years old with fun, introductory rugby sessions that help build core skills and confidence. As children progress through the age groups, they’ll join structured teams up to Under 18s, where they’ll develop both as players and as individuals, supported by our dedicated coaching staff. All teams will also have support coaching from a 1st team player.
It’s a great way to learn the sport and be part of a fantastic community!

Senior Men’s Teams
- First XV – Competing in National League 1, our men’s 1st team represents the pinnacle of competitive rugby at Sale FC. These players work tirelessly week in, week out to deliver high-level rugby for our supporters.
- Vikings (2nd XV) – The Vikings are our competitive development team. To give players the opportunity to push for 1st team selection while maintaining a strong performance in their own right.
- Norsemen (3rd XV) – The Norsemen team represents the social side of rugby. For those who love the game but focus more on the fun and camaraderie it offers, the Norsemen play for the enjoyment of the sport and the community around it. It’s rugby at its most relaxed and inclusive!
Women’s Rugby Teams
- 1861 Women’s 1st XV – Our Women’s 1st team continues to grow in strength and profile, competing at a high level with passion and dedication. With the game growing for women across the UK, we are proud of the progress and success of our women’s teams.
- Women’s 2nd XV – With the growing interest and number of players, we now have a Women’s 2nd team that offers a fantastic opportunity for new players to experience the game and work their way up through the ranks. It’s all about fostering talent and encouraging more women to get involved in rugby!
