Seven try heaven for Sale as they overcome Dings

Sale returned to the Morson Stadium looking to bounce back from a narrow defeat the previous week, whilst Dings were looking for points to move out of the bottom 3.

The first part of the game saw some attritional rugby, but Sale took the lead in the 15th minute when Joe Green timed a pass to perfection for winger, Tom Walsh, to cut through the defensive line and score under the posts; Green added the conversion. 7-0

Buoyed by the first score, the Dogs cut loose, adding two more quick fire tries as centre, Toby Wilson, smashed his way through before Corbin Thunder blasted over; Green make no mistake with the extras. HT 21-0

Dings came out with renewed energy at the start of the second 40 and reduced the arrears when hooker, Thomas Gwilliam, ran in; Raff Weston on point from the tee. 21-7

Two minutes later, Sale grabbed their bonus point try, Joe Green ghosting down the blind side at a ruck and offloading for Fergus Mulchrone to score in the corner. 26-7

The Dogs were flying now and a second try for Wilson was followed by scores for replacements, Dan Birchall and Matt Bradley, the first converted by Green and the others by James Robins. 47-7

The Bristolians had the final say though when centre, Joseph Jenkins, sauntered in for a consolation score. FT 47-12
