Bishop Stortford Preview

Jonathan Keep announces his squad ahead of a crucial fixture against Bishop Stortford RUFC

SATURDAY 14th- K.O. 3pm- Bishop Stortford

It was an unfortunate outcome last weekend with a disappointing loss to RAMS, with ill-discipline faulting The Dogs. The penalty tally sky rocketing. This week the lads have refrained back to the well composed side we are familiar with. Although FC dropped points against RAMS, they did pick up the losing bonus point which was well deserved considering the domination in territory and possession- The Dogs will be expecting to improve on their Red Zone conversion, picking up points in contingency with possession in the opposition 22m.

FC currently sit at 10th with the chance to leap frog Plymouth Albion in 9th, a familiar position this season- With the National League 1 so competitive.

There are many changes within the squad this week, with many in rotation due to injury- Jeremy To’a, Jarad Williams and Juan Pablo Rivas (Toti) comfortably recover as they support from the sidelines again this week. As expected after a loss, there are some changes all across the park, with; Ollie Longmore returning as starting Hooker, a newer partnership in the row with Davies and Gray, whilst the back row rotate entirely with Andy Hughes in at 7, Stone Priestley-Nangle at 6 and Jake Barron at 8. The backs remain mainly unchanged with the only differences in Mulchrone replacing James Williams at outside centre and Johnny Leota in at 12. A strong squad expecting to come away with crucial points, with the bench displaying some influential game changers- eager to make a difference.
