Right, folks,
We’d like to welcome Birmingham Moseley to our first Friday Night Lights in years! Remember our Thursday night clash with them back in 2022 (check it out here)? And who could forget (for those of you old enough) our very first Friday Night Lights under the new floodlights, all the way back in October 1972?!
The team back in 1972 featured a very famous Sale FC player that day
On Saturday, we bagged our third home win on the trot with a bonus-point victory over Darlington Mowden Park to push as above Bishops Stortford in the table. Fair play to DMP, even though they’re facing relegation, they made the game difficult for us and as usual played some exciting rugby.
We’d absolutely love to see you all down at the ground. Get there early, soak up the atmosphere in the bar, stick around after the final whistle, and maybe even treat yourself to a curry by our resident South African Chef to celebrate the end of the week.
Come on down and cheer the lads on! After Friday Night Lights there are a host of home games coming up at Heywood Road. First up, Blackheath visit on the 8th March then in a succession of FIRSTS, we will have a weekend of rugby at Heywood Road with our first pre-match hospitality for our brilliant womens’ teams who are playing a double header on the 9th March at Heywood Road (see details below). Then the following weekend it will Dings Crusaders first visit to Heywood Road on the 15th March on our massively popular Ladies Day!
Cheers,
Scott Bambrick
