Hours before the Super Bowl kicked off, Will Davies, (older brother of Sale Sharks loanee Ollie Davies) prepared to make his first appearance for the dogs since signing for the 24/25 National league 1 season.
Speaking about his first appearance, Will shared:
“It was a great feeling to make my debut for FC this weekend alongside the lads—not only a very prestigious club but also one with a lot of meaning for my family. Although the result wasn’t what we wanted as a squad, it was incredibly rewarding on a personal level to be playing in this league after so long out from the game due to injury. I can’t thank Charlie (Head Physio) , Max(S&C), and Rob(S&C lead) enough for their support in getting me back playing after 18 months, as well as the backing from the coaches.”
Now, with two home games coming up this month, Will is eager for the opportunity to step out at Heywood Road.
“100%. Being on the sideline has probably made me appreciate the game a lot more, and just getting a little taste of what a matchday at HR involves as a spectator makes me want to experience it as a player even more.”
