Sale FC Rugby can confirm that Peter Vickers has received a 12-game suspension following an incident at the ruck during our fixture against Blackheath on 6 December.
As a result of the ban, Peter will miss the remainder of the current season.
After 34 club appearances & not 1 yellow card in that period, Peter has expressed his disappointment at the outcome. He will continue to support the squad fully from the sidelines while serving his suspension and remains committed to Sale FC both on and off the pitch.
Peter has been a valued member of the playing group this season, contributing with professionalism and commitment, and he will continue to be involved with the club environment throughout the remainder of the campaign.
Sale FC Rugby would also like to acknowledge the ongoing support of Peter’s sponsors, Kia Acorn, whose backing of players at the club plays an important role in supporting grassroots and semi-professional rugby.
The club will make no further comment on the matter at this time and now turns its focus firmly to the remaining fixtures of the season.
