Announcement
The Executive Committee would like to share that, after 10 years of service on the Sale FC Executive, Scott Bambrick will be stepping down as Chairman at the end of the calendar year. Over the last decade, Scott has played a huge role in shaping Sale FC. From leading the integration and growth of the Mini & Junior section into one of the largest in the North West of England, to guiding the club through a period of significant growth as Chairman, his impact has been felt across every part of the club.
Under Scott’s leadership, Sale FC has grown to field five senior sides, achieved record levels of turnover, and continued to invest in facilities, coaching and the overall members and players experience. While these achievements are of note, those who know Scott will recognise that his greatest contribution has been his passion for the club and his belief that Sale FC should always be welcoming, ambitious and sustainable. He has devoted countless hours behind the scenes ensuring the club remains a place where people of all ages can enjoy rugby, make lifelong friendships and feel part of something special.
Scott said:
“It has been an absolute privilege to be part of the team that has overseen the development of Sale FC over the last decade. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, particularly seeing more people than ever wearing Sale FC colours. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, coaches, players, members, supporters, sponsors and continued positive relationship with Sale Sharks. Thank you for your friendship and support along the way. I feel that the club is ready for the next stage in its journey both on and off the pitch, and it is time for someone to take up this challenge lead it going forward”
On behalf of the Executive Committee and everyone connected with Sale FC, thank you, Scott, for your outstanding commitment and contribution to the club. There will now be a period of handover and the Exec will in due course announce the interim Chairman from the start of the new year.
Regards
