On Friday 28thSeptember 2018 Sale FC Rugby Club in association with Couch Grind Coffee are hosting a coffee morning in aid of the MacMillan Cancer Support Fund. It is hoped that we will raise enough funds for the club, as well as getting together with people from the local community, allowing the club to raise awareness of the work undertaken by the MacMillan Cancer Charity.
Speaking about the event Sale FC’s Community Coach Andy Hughes said, “We hope we can bring the local community together to raise funds for this worthy cause, and it also brings together the local community to support the club in its endeavours starting with the coffee morning on the 28th.”
As a side note to this Andy Hughes also mentioned that “we are looking to host these events every 2/3 weeks, where we can get the local communities and groups together to come and enjoy a coffee/tea and a natter about anything really. By offering these coffee mornings, it creates opportunities for the elderly and alike to come together and reminisce about their favourite things, something we are trying to improve as a community club going forwards.”
If you would like to attend the coffee morning the event runs from 9.30am until 12noon. We look forward to seeing you at the event, please come and say hello.
