Bio
Regarded as a genuine Sale legend amongst fans (who voted him into the Sale Sharks’ Hall of Fame’ in 2007), Hanley is the all time top Premiership try scorer, with an impressive 75 tries to his name. He won his only England cap against Wales in the 1999 Five Nations Championship. In July 2008, Hanley announced his retirement from Rugby due to a back injury and has since taken up a role with the Sale Sharks community team.
