Bio
Morris played his rugby with the passion associated with his homeland. Dynamic and aggressive, he often played like an extra back row man which was a testimony to his hunger to get the ball in his hands. His competitive nature was complemented by a toughness and resilience. He made his England debut against Australia in 1988 and went on to win 25 caps in total. Crowds were thrilled by his ‘up and at them’ style and he was instantly recognisable, always choosing to play with his socks down. He came out of retirement after to play at a season for Sale, helping us to reach the final of the Pikington Cup. Dewi now appears regularly as a rugby union pundit/ commentator on Sky Sports.
