Chris Johnson Heads Home

Chris Johnson Signs For Huddersfield

After two and half seasons with over 420 points including more than 120 conversions, 50 penalties and 5 drop goals, Chris is heading back to Huddersfield to play in National 2 North. The birth of his son coupled with family/work life balance has meant that the commitment of National 1 travel and training was too much this season.

Chris says

Sale are a great club with great people and will continue to progress, where the club is now compared to when I joined is miles apart. Keepy and Tote need to take credit for that. The behind the scenes work to improve the ground and the increased crowds are also great to see.

He also touches on our National 2 North Championship win

To win the league was great and will be one of my greatest rugby memories.

We wish Chris all the best and we know Huddersfield will be delighted to have him back, not only because he is one of the highest points scorers in National League Rugby history with over 3100 points, but also as a leader on the pitch.
