Sale FC 2’s Team Announced

After an excellent victory away to Lymm, this weekend Sale FC 2’s take on Macclesfield 2’s at CorpAcq stadium. With a KO of 3pm this is sure to be a cracker as Sale FC 2 aim to climb the table  on their way into November. Currently lying in fourth, they need a good victory to close the gap on third placed Caldy 2’s.

The bar will be open and entrance to the stadium is free. Come down and enjoy the rugby in the heart of Sale Town. Team News Here

Sale FC 2’s Team

This weekend Sale FC 2 take on Lymm 2. Both teams are on level points with Sale FC 2’s being ahead on points difference. The league this year has been a massive plus for Sale FC Rugby giving our younger players much needed experience of Senior rugby and making sure our larger squad gets game time in what is a very competitive league.

This week sees the return of Felix Egan from university to take the field at scrum half in place of the unavailable Matt Simpson.

Sale FC 2’s Back on Track

Sale FC 2’s 47 Preston Grasshoppers 2’s 15

On a wonderful Autumnal Saturday afternoon here at the CorpAcq Stadium, it was the turn of the second team to entertain Preston Grasshoppers in the Cotton Traders Premier League. With the home side having started the season with a mixed bag of results, they were looking to get back to winning ways against a youthful Hoppers side who had only won one of their last four games this season.

It was they who opened the scoring early on, with just two minutes on the clock when Sale were adjudged to have left their feet at the ruck. Hoppers decided to go for goal on this occasion with the impressive No.9 Jobe Roxby taking the three points on offer giving Hoppers the early lead in the match.

However, this lead was only to last for another five minutes before some excellent interplay between the forwards and backs saw Sale take a real hold of the game and cement the advantage in their favour, thanks to the hard work of Ryan Parkinson who was able to offload after being tackled to Captain Ben Simpson who went in under the posts. Try Fest At Heywood Road

Match Report– Sale FC 2 34 Caldy 52

With the weather set fair for this fixture, it found itself leading to fast expansive game of rugby, that as it turns out would be a try fest for all to see at the CorpAcq Stadium. From the off Sale were definitely on the back foot, with the Caldy players running the hard lines looking to set up scoring opportunities for the visitors.
