In a very busy off season, Sale FC have seen the departure of a couple of players to Longton and Chester as well as two retiring players. With quality players all being pursued by the same clubs it’s important to get the balance of the squad right and to this end, Sale FC are delighted to announce the signing of Ex Sale Sharks Academy and Burnage Rugby Club versatile front/back row player Harvey Derby, Harvey has played rugby not only at Burnage but also with Ponsonby (a club with a past player close to Sale hearts Sammy Tuitupou) in New Zealand. Harvey also had a previous spell with Sale FC before he left to play in New Zealand.
Director of Rugby Jonathan Keep has been keen to reinforce the squad this season to ensure we have strength in depth in a highly competitive league. We would like to extend Harvey a warm welcome to Sale FC.
